The Dallas Mavericks face the LA Clippers on Monday in an NBA preseason game but will once again be without their superstar Luka Doncic. It marks the third consecutive game Doncic will miss as he continues to recover from a left calf contusion sustained during team training in Las Vegas.
According to Sportskeeda's Grant Afseth, Doncic has been spending considerable time playing 1-on-1 with assistant coach God Shammgod.
Mavericks coach Jason Kidd mentioned that while Doncic has been participating in non-contact practices, the team expects to have a clearer understanding of his progress ahead of their final preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
Given Doncic's importance to the Mavericks, it's likely that the franchise will prioritize giving him ample rest and recovery time before the start of the regular season.
