As Trevor Bauer looks to put his controversial past behind him, the former Cy Young Award winner has maintained a strong social media presence.

This past season, Bauer spent the year in Mexico, not only winning the league title but also earning an All-Star selection in the process. Bauer gave fans an inside look at his journey on social media. Thanks to his ever-growing fanbase, Bauer has been able to showcase both his personality and his knowledge of the game.

In his latest post on Instagram, he was joined by former college baseball pitcher and content creator Marika Lyszczyk, explaining the best way to throw a curveball. Despite having some knowledge of the pitch, Bauer informed Marika of some do's and don't's when it comes to throwing a curveball.

"There's three keys on a curveball. The very first thing is you want to keep a stiff wrist and forearm. A lot of times people think that on a curveball you want to snap your wrist ... that's why it doesn't move," Bauer explained.

Lyszczyk explained that she had often been told to snap her wrist, something that the former Los Angeles Dodgers star said was wrong.

"The way I tell people is that there is a board over here and you're going to have to karate chop through the board. How would you do that? It'd be like, oh with a stiff wrist right," Bauer continued.

Trevor Bauer continued to explain that after making sure that the wrist and forearm are stiff, the placement of the fingers on the seam, as well as curling around the ball, are the next important steps.

"You're going to go stiff wrist, put the ball where the seam hits your middle finger, and you're just going to curl it in your hand," Bauer showed Lyszczyk.

Trevor Bauer enjoyed a tremendous season in the Mexican League as he looks for another MLB opportunity

Given his knowledge of the art of pitching, as well as his proven track record in the MLB, it may come as no surprise that Trevor Bauer was dominant in the Mexican League this season. Even though the former Cincinnati Reds ace was unable to secure an MLB contract this year, he took his talent to Mexico and put on a show.

Bauer signed with the Diablos Rojos del México, immediately proving that he still has plenty of life left in his pitching arm. Over 83.1 innings of work in the regular season, Bauer posted an impressive 10-0 record with a 2.48 ERA and 120 strikeouts. Not only did he earn an All-Star selection for his efforts, but he was also able to help guide his team to a Mexican League title.
