Tensions flared high in the series finale between the Dodgers and the Mariners as benches were cleared partially due to a verbal spat between Randy Arozarena and Jack Flaherty in the third inning of the game.

In the top of the third inning, the duo had an altercation on Arozarena's pop fly out, as benches from both sides partially emptied briefly. The situation wasn't allowed to boil any further as Jack Flaherty walked back to the home dugout and Randy Arozarena too walked away.

Take a look at the video here:

The tiff started in the top of the second inning when Jack Flaherty hit Randy Arozarena in his first at-bat. Randy followed by staring down at the mound, as he didn't appreciate the pitch by Flaherty.

LAD showcased their might on both ends of the field as they won the series finale 8-4 and, with that, completed a perfect series sweep against the Mariners at home in Dodger Stadium.

Jack Flaherty reflected on his start and the mid-game spat with Randy Arozarena in a post-match interview

In the post-game interview with Kirsten Watson of Sportsnet LA, Jack Flaherty reflected on his solid outing.

"First inning has been a little rough since I got here, so it was nice to get off to a better start ... As the game went on and once we got the lead at that point it was just about getting deeper into the game and try to get some quick outs," Flaherty told Watson.

Next, Flaherty voiced praise on his team's offense as he said:

"It's as deep of a lineup that you're going to find. They are just one after the other relentless and its fun to watch."

Finally, he commented on his verbal spat with Randy Arozarena in the third inning, saying:

"I mean nothing, I respect Randy as a player. He has been really good in this league for as long as he has been here. There was just no reason for me to hit him in that position, he took exception to it so I got nothing else but respect for guys who are really good in this league so we said what we had to say boys jumped out of the dugout and we move on."

Next, the Dodgers will be taking on the Rays in a three-game series at home, while the Mariners take on the Giants in a three-game series at home in T-Mobile Park.
