Dansby Swanson's parents, Cooter Swanson and Nancy Swanson had front-row seats for the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates games at PNC Park. With parents in attendance, Swanson homered a two-run shot in the fourth inning that helped the Cubs take the lead and eventually win the game 9-5 on Tuesday.

After rounding up the bases and celebrating with his teammates in the dugout, Swanson ran the ladder of the dugout to find his mother, waving to her while wishing her a happy birthday. Her mom also cheered back, celebrating her son's home run.

Dansby Swanson's blast was part of a five-run inning against the Pirates. Seiya Suzuki's two-run home run tied the game, followed by Nico Hoerner's RBI double, giving the Cubs the lead. Swanson’s 421-foot opposite-field blast was the last scoring shot of the fourth inning.

Swanson has been charged up this series. In Monday's series opener, he crushed the long ball for a grand slam in an 18-8 win.

Miguel Amaya hit a two-run single for another multi-run inning against the Pirates' Jared Jones.

The Pirates tried coming back in the game with two runs in the ninth but it was too late by then as the Cubs won the game 9-5, taking the road series. The final game will be played on Wednesday.
