In a June 16 away game against the Baltimore Orioles, where the Philadelphia Phillies suffered a 6-2 defeat, Nick Castellanos had a tough outing at the plate, going 0-4. He also sent a foul ball soaring straight into a reporter's laptop.

MLB reporter Tim Kelly shared a photo on his X account, showing the damage caused when the ball from Castellanos hit went right into the press box and made direct contact with Kelly's computer, destroying the screen.

The reporter was in the middle of writing something for Bleacher Report about the Seattle Mariners but found his work abruptly interrupted since the screen was barely visible.

Castellano has a history of bad-timing home runs, including instances where he has homered when an MLB broadcaster was issuing an apology for using a homophobic slur on live television or when the announcers were eulogizing someone who'd recently passed.

Nick Castellanos had a viral moment with umpire

Three days ago, the Philadelphia Phillies were taking on the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. During the game, Nick Castellanos was displeased with a pitch clock violation that was assigned to him during an at-bat in the seventh inning.

Castellanos let his frustration be known and gestured with his hand toward the umpire before stepping closer to speak to him. A hot mic picked up some of the audio.

Castellanos seemed to say (via USA Today):

“Out of respect for somebody who’s been in the league over ten years, you gotta f*****g speak up brother.”

The umpire didn't seem to have any issue with Castellanos retorting about the violation because the Phillies star wasn't ejected from the game. The at-bat wasn't hindered by the automatic strike call, as Castellanos was able to work a walk anyway.

He came around on a double by Bryson Stott to cut the lead to three runs. The Phillies would score once again, but they were unable to make a comeback, losing 8-6.
