On Thursday, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets continued their NLCS battle at Citi Field. The Mets have a disadvantage in this series as they trail 2-1.

Dave Roberts sent Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound as their starter, while the Mets had Jose Quintana on the mound against Yamamoto. Shohei Ohtani opened the scoring with a solo home run at the top of the first inning to give his team a 1-0 lead.

The Mets responded instantly as Mark Vientos smashed a solo home run to tie the game. However, the Boys in Blue stepped up their game in the third inning as Kike Hernandez recorded a base hit which drove in Mookie Betts and Ohtani.

The Mets had the bases loaded in the bottom of the third, but they only scored one run. Quintana was removed from the game, and the Mets surrendered two more runs at the top of the fourth.

The Mets were in trouble again at the top of the sixth inning as they surrendered two more runs to their opponent. Mookie Betts went deep with a solo home run as they took a 7-2 lead.

Tommy Edman smashed a two-run double as the Dodgers opened up with their offense. The Mets squandered their opportunities to score with the bases loaded as they failed to secure a win.
