Oakland Athletics Hall of Famer Jose Canseco has never been too far from controversy or online call-outs. Well, it appears that the former slugger has found himself in the sights of professional wrestler Anthony Bowens.

The AEW superstar challenged the 60-year-old to either face him in a home run derby or in the wrestling ring.

"I’m officially challenging @JoseCanseco And Jose, if you don’t want the smoke on the baseball field, show up to #AEWDynamite BITCH @AEW ✂️👑," Bowens wrote on X while putting a display of his hitting inside a cage.

Anthony Bowens, the former AEW World Tag Team champion, took some heavy swings and got solid contact on the pitches. Jose Canseco is hosting a home run derby and it looks like Bowens is trying to land himself a spot in the event.

On October 5th, Canseco will be hosting the Going Yard Home Run Derby, which will see the former slugger take on a slew of mystery special guests.

Some rumored to participate in the home run Derby include former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown and YouTube star Eric Sim, better known as the King of JUCO.

Jose Canseco calls out Alex Rodriguez to participate in the home run derby

Although the beef between Anthony Bowen and Canseco might only be for show in order to get into the home run derby, there is clear dislike between Canseco and former New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez.

"Alex Rodriguez I expect you to compete in the Home Run Derby in Miami. If you don’t, we all know why" - @JoseCanseco

Canseco has often called out Alex Rodriguez on social media. This time around, he challenged A-Rod to participate in the home run derby. It's unclear if Rodriguez will participate or has even acknowledged Canseco's callout; however, the former MVP has not responded anywhere online.

Regardless of whether or not Rodriguez replies to Jose Canseco or not, to quote Taylor Swift, it's clear that there is "Bad Blood."
