After a strong start from Clayton Kershaw at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, the LA Dodgers' night took a significant turn for the worse, as reliever Brusdar Graterol went down due to a right hamstring strain just eight pitches into the sixth inning. To add salt to the wound, the Philadelphia Phillies went on to score three runs in the same inning to blow the game wide open.

After the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Graterol suffered a Grade 3 strain and will be out for the rest of the season. The latest setback will be particularly painful for Graterol, who already missed the initial part of the season with a shoulder injury.

Reacting to the injury on X, many fans felt for the Venezuelan, with some also feeling he may have been rushed back into action.

"Feel so bad for him. Get better soon my guy 🙏"

One fan thought that the injury was the turning point of the game.

"We lost the game here when he went out," the fan posted.

One fan also pointed out how bad the Phillies dugout felt for Graterol, who had just returned from a previous injury to make last night's appearance.

"Even the Phillies dugout felt it, " the fan said.

Furthermore, some fans thought the training staff did not prepare him well enough for his return, leading to another huge setback.

"We should really start questioning the quality of the Dodgers training staff," a fan shared.
"Trainers all need to go. This is ridiculous at this point," another disappointed fan wrote.

Phillies pick up important win amid recent form concerns, beat Dodgers 6-2

After six consecutive series losses after the All-Star break, the Phillies' 6-2 away win on Tuesday night was a big step toward ending the skid.

It could have much bigger ramifications than just helping with confidence as it clinched the season series for the Phillies. If the Dodgers and Phillies finish the season tied with the best record in the National League, Philadelphia will get home-field advantage through the NL Championship Series.

The Phillies had good outings in all departments on Tuesday, with pitcher Christopher Sanchez continuing his strong season. Batters Edmundo Sosa and Kyle Schwarber also hit home runs to put the game well and truly out of the home team's reach.

The two sides face off again on Wednesday with the series tied at one game each. A win by the visitors will mark their first series win since they swept the Dodgers at home back in early July.
