Despite being unable to land another contract in the MLB, it's safe to say that it was a pretty successful season for Trevor Bauer. The former Cy Young Award winner signed with the Diablos Rojos del México this year as he looked to rebuild his value.

After not only being named as an All-Star but finishing the year as a Mexican League champion, Bauer at least proved that he has life left in his arm.

While Trevor Bauer enjoyed a successful season on the mound, he has arguably enjoyed a better year as a presence on social media. The former MLB All-Star has continued to remain active on social media, posting highlights of his games and breakdowns of his performances.

In his latest video, Bauer broke down his performance against the Leones de Yucatán in the second round of the Mexican League playoffs.

Over the course of the 25-minute video, Bauer showcased his entire outing. This included a number of strikeouts on offspeed pitches that had the former Los Angeles Dodgers star surprised.

"God that was f**king filthy [11:04]," Bauer shouted to himself on the mound after recording a strikeout on a vicious curveball.

The unfortunate batter who was caught swinging and missing in dramatic fashion was Webster Rivas. The Leones de Yucatán catcher, who had briefly appeared in the MLB with the San Diego Padres, looked completely overmatched by Bauer, who felt it worthy of a second look.

"Let's just watch that one more time. Watch how long the ball stays in the middle of the zone and how late it breaks and how much it breaks [11:10]," Bauer explained in the video replay.

For anyone who has been following Trevor Bauer's video journey in Mexico, he is no stranger to praising himself in his videos, with this strikeout being no different.

The former Cincinnati Reds ace finished the outing allowing only 2 hits over 5.0 innings while recording 8 strikeouts. Bauer's club went on the win the game 5-2 and take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Trevor Bauer overcame a serious illness before helping his team win the Mexican League title

Although Bauer enjoyed a strong showing en route to a Mexican League title, it was not all smooth sailing for the former Cy Young Award winner.

Prior to the postseason, Bauer was having issues with his feet and upon further testing, was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

Luckily for Trevor Bauer, they were able to catch his Guillain-Barré Syndrome diagnosis early and were able to treat it without too much difficulty.

As part of the recovery process, Bauer underwent a series of intravenous immunoglobulin injections that allowed him to recover from his symptoms and return to the mound. It eventually helped his squad win the championship.
