The New York Yankees aimed for a 3-0 lead in the ALCS against the Cleveland Guardians, but David Fry had other plans. Fry's two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the 10th inning brought fireworks out at Progressive Field.

Bookmakers had the Yankees as favorites to win Game 3, leading many to bet big on the Bronx Bombers. One person who bet big on the Yankees was Dillon Danis, the controversial MMA fighter, boxer and BJJ practitioner.

Before Game 3 between the Yankees and Guardians, Danis shared an Instagram story revealing his $40,000 bet on the Bronx Bombers through Rake, an online casino and sportsbook. The IG story also featured a photo of Danis with Giancarlo Stanton, captioned:

A win for Aaron Judge and company would have netted Danis $75,200. However, despite back-to-back home runs from Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, David Fry's last-inning heroics lifted the Guardians to an upset victory.

The Guardians will now look to carry the momentum into Game 4 at the same venue. Winning Game 4 is crucial for the Guardians as Game 5 will be held at Yankee Stadium.

Dillon Danis was once a training partner of UFC superstar Conor "The Notorious" McGregor. His latest combat fighting experience was a crossover boxing match against Logan Paul, which he lost via disqualification.

Dillon Danis disappointed in Yankees' loss to the Guardians

Placing a bet on the Yankees while they were on the road against the Guardians did not seem like a bad idea, particularly as the Bronx Bombers demolished their opposition in the previous two games.

That was likely Dillon Danis' thought process when he wagered $40,000 on the Yankees hoping to win an extra $35,200. With the Guardians winning the game in one of the most exciting games of the LCS, Danis seemingly expressed his disappointment via IG story.

Danis shared the IG video of social media sportscaster Alex Day reacting to David Fry's walk-off homer. The former Bellator fighter also conversed with Day in the video's comments section.

Ironically, Day earlier posted his thrilled reaction to home runs by Judge and Stanton, but his joy quickly turned to disappointment when the tables were turned by Fry's game-winner.
