Alex Rodriguez is in LA covering the series between the Dodgers and the Padres, which is now heading to San Diego with the NLDS series tied 1-1. He has joined the Fox Sports crew, which includes Hall of Famer Derek Jeter and David Ortiz, aka "Big Papi."

Joining Rodriguez there is his girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro, who is a fitness instructor and founder of "JACFIT," a six-week fitness program. Per the duo's social media activity, they enjoyed a scenic LA skyline while in a pool. They then hit the streets going on a dinner date to enjoy the "off day" to the fullest.

In an Instagram story uploaded from the dinner table, the couple had grilled chicken breast with dark green leafy vegetables and possibly an herb-based sauce like chimichurri or a pesto sauce. The middle plate in the picture seems to be spaghetti or linguine pasta topped with a sauce. And finally, the last plate (farthest from the camera) is a piece of steak.

There are also some french fries on the side of the table.

It's an "off day" on Monday for "A-Rod" because the NLDS series is on a travel schedule after completing its first two games at Dodger Stadium. The former New York Yankees star will be back in front of the camera on Tuesday when the Dodgers-Padres best-of-five series resumes at Petco Park.

Alex Rodriguez reveals his daily routine after gaining weight

Seeing steak on that dinner table shouldn't be a surprise since Alex Rodriguez is known to be a big steak guy. However, he seems to have controlled that intake of late, as he mentioned during an interview. He said he used to eat steak on eight out of 10 days, but now he has reduced it significantly.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, A-Rod gained weight, which he attributes to eating.

“I’m a very social person. I like people. I love people,” he said on 'The Jennifer Hudson Show' last year. “And I was so stressed between being in [Los Angeles] and Miami, being the CEO of two companies, and lost my way a little bit and started gaining some weight, wasn’t focusing on my health as much.”

However, he seems to have taken a journey of weight loss, shedding around 30 pounds, and said he has started a new daily routine.

“I just changed my routine,” he added. “Now, I get up in the morning, and I don’t look at my phone until noon. So from the time I wake up, I’m in the gym at 8, work out for a couple of hours, come home, do a little sauna, a little steam, stretch, meditate, and then I’m at my desk every day from 12pm to 6pm.”

The Alex Rodriguez that is on TV is much leaner and muscular, and now we know the reason.
