Teoscar Hernandez has signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers for a one-year, $23.5 million deal and will become a free agent soon if his contract isn't extended. In that case, the best-case scenario would be to move him before the MLB trade deadline.
Hernandez is a hot take, especially after his unexpected victory at the Home Run Derby 2024. Ever since he joined the Dodgers, his slump in past seasons seems to have gone away. That shocked a lot of fans, as many thought that the Dodgers would retain Hernandez after his Home Run Derby win.
However, Dodgers GM Andrew Friedman has explained that the Derby victory doesn't hold much value in the major league.
"Sure, Teoscar won the home run derby, but we all know that was Mickey Mouse," said Friedman.
#2 Texas Rangers
Before the Home Run Derby 2024, nobody could see Teoscar Hernandez as the winner of the contest about slugging the most home runs.
However, Hernandez proved everybody wrong and made a name for himself. Moreover, in an interview, Hernandez also mentioned that Arlington, Texas, is his second home after his native place, the Dominican Republic.
