This time last year, Corey Seager was in the thick of a postseason run that would end in his team, the Texas Rangers, winning their first franchise World Series. In 2024, Seager and his wife are employing a different approach to fall.

On Friday, Seager's wife, Madisyn, posted a barrage of photos of herself and her husband soaking up the sun at the Chileno Bay Resort in Mexico. Among the activities that the Seagers appeared to be enjoying were hiking, swimming, dining, and a lot of fun in the sun.

Madisyn and Corey Seager met when they were both students at their North Carolina high school. After years of dating, the two tied the knot in 2020, while Seager was playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers. While the Seagers do not have any children, they remain devoted dog parents.

After Seager's Texas Rangers won their first career World Series in 2023, the club did not duplicate that luck this season. On account of their 78-84 record, the Rangers finished third in the AL West, missing postseason qualification.

In last year's World Series showdown against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Corey Seager's three homers and six RBIs helped him get named Series MVP. The distinction came on the heels of a regular season that saw Seager hit 33 home runs and 96 RBIs.

After starting the 2024 season with a .208 batting average in April, Seager showed signs of improvement all year. The 30-year-old shortstop finished the season with 30 home runs, 74 RBIs, and an average of .278.

Now that Seager will not be participating in the 2024 playoffs, the Seagers can escape unhindered. Longtime loves, the Seagers have only grown closer over time, as Corey told PEOPLE magazine of his decision to marry Madisyn:

“I think I always knew I would propose one day. It’s not very often you meet someone and have an instant connection, it really hit me one night when we were dancing in the kitchen together making dinner … I knew in that moment I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.”

Though Madi and Corey may be spending some time on a Mexican holiday, the expectations of next season may already be beginning to circulate in the Rangers' star's mind.
