In the previous episode, Goku and the rest of the main cast realized that they had been turned into kids. They also discovered that Dende had been kidnapped and taken to the Demon Realm by Degesu and King Gomah (as per Mr. Popo). This resulted in the Supreme Kai explaining the nature of the Demon Realm to the group and trying to set up a way to head there.

Kibito eventually took an old ship to the Lookout that the Supreme Kai used to leave the Demon Realm. Bulma was tasked with modernizing it since it got worn down throughout the years.

As this was happening, Goku tried to adapt to his new body and find a way to fight with it. This resulted in a mini-quest where he ended up finding his old Nyoibō in Kame House since Master Roshi used it to hang his washed clothes.

The remainder of the episode exposed some new lore. Piccolo revealed that the Namekians left the Demon Realm because they didn't like being ruled by others. This was when Glorio, a demon, showed up at the Lookout and asked Goku to help him defeat Gomah. This resulted in the three characters heading to the Demon Realm.
