Amid ongoing rumors surrounding his contract status, a top AEW star could potentially depart from the Tony Khan-led company and sign with WWE. The talent in question is none other than Daniel Garcia.

The Red Death is currently a major topic of discussion among wrestling fans amid uncertainties regarding his professional future. Garcia, who has been signed with AEW since 2021, was temporarily put on the shelf a couple of months ago owing to a shocking assault by MJF. After weeks of absence, the former ROH Pure Champion returned to All Elite programming at All In 2024, costing Friedman his AEW American Title during his match against Will Ospreay.

The Wolf of Wrestling defeated Garcia at All Out 2024 courtesy of a low blow but the latter exacted revenge on the former AEW World Champion by Piledriving him from off the turnbuckles after their bout.

It was reported after All Out that Garcia was supposed to score a clean victory over MJF at the pay-per-view and that the finish was changed because the 25-year-old star had not yet signed a new agreement that had been offered by AEW. A related update cited a top All Elite Wrestling talent's claim that they had expected Garcia to stay on with the company during the summer, although matters are supposedly far from certain as of late.

Recently, a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Daniel Garcia has still not signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling. Given that his contract is supposedly expected to expire soon, speculations continue to build regarding the prospect of the former JAS member jumping ship to WWE.

Fans and industry experts alike have advocated for Garcia to head to the Triple H-led company, especially in light of rumors that suggested that the sports entertainment juggernaut was interested in acquiring his services and that The Game himself was reportedly quite high on the star.

It remains to be seen what path Daniel Garcia will choose for his future in the sport.

Bully Ray thinks AEW is preparing Daniel Garcia for something

Daniel Garcia did not feature on this week's episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite following on the heels of All Out 2024. While The Dragon Slayer's television absence may be a cause for concern among fans and viewers of All Elite Wrestling, WWE veteran Bully Ray recently expressed the opinion that the Jacksonville-based promotion is preparing Garcia, potentially, for some major program.

"They're [AEW] priming Garcia for something. What? I don't know," he said. [H/T - WrestlingInc.]

It remains to be seen what lies next for Daniel Garcia in the pro wrestling industry.
