One of the biggest news stories doing the rounds in recent months has been Shane McMahon's potential interest in joining AEW. These rumors were further amplified after he met with Tony Khan at an airport.

However, since then, neither man has gone into the specifics of the meeting and they have preferred to remain quite silent about the matter. To add fuel to the fire, the Young Bucks recently posted a picture of themselves with Shane-O-Mac which was taken in an airport. Additionally, there have been teases of Shane-O-Mac joining Jon Moxley's faction after his recent promos especially when he mentioned that AEW isn't Tony Khan's company anymore. But if Shane were to join AEW, who should he go after? The answer is simple: MJF!

MJF is arguably the biggest heel in professional wrestling at the moment and is known for having some insane promo skills. He has often made references to WWE during his promos in recent years. During a recent interview, MJF even made fun of Shane for injuring himself at WrestleMania 38. He even asked him to stay away from him for the sake of his health.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman then continued to say in another interview that he would be open to wrestle Shane-O-Mac but would feel bad for him. There are so many times when wrestling has taken moments outside the ring and used it for storyline purposes and this should definitely be one of those times as it could lead to a good storyline and even boost ratings. It's unlikely that Shane will be brought in primarily as a wrestler but there is a chance to use him as an onscreen authority figure who often clashes with MJF. This could kickstart their feud eventually leading to a match down the line.

Vince Russo believes that Shane McMahon will make a huge demand from Tony Khan before signing with AEW

Although nothing is confirmed yet, the rumors are rampant that Shane McMahon might end up in AEW anytime soon. However, a WWE veteran believes that he will make a huge demand from Tony Khan before signing with his promotion.

During a recent episode of BroDown, Vince Russo said that Shane-O-Mac will quite possibly join AEW if he owns a stake in the company:

"I think that's a real possibility if he has stake in it," said Russo. "He's not going to AEW unless he owns a part of it. And Mac, I'll tell you why it even makes more sense to me than it did last week because now, with this WBD deal going through with AEW, bro, you're hearing a lot of scuttlebutt that Warner Bros. Discovery may own a stake in the company. If that indeed is true, I could definitely see them wanting Shane McMahon to be part of the fold." [2:44 - 3:20]

It will be interesting to see if Shane McMahon will join AEW and what will be his role in the company if this happens.
