A new report concerning WWE's supposed interest in signing a current AEW star has emerged. The talent in question is none other than Daniel Garcia.

The Red Death returned to All Elite Wrestling programming at All In 2024, interfering during MJF's AEW American Championship defense against Will Ospreay, which led to The Wolf of Wrestling's defeat at Wembley Stadium.

Their feud began a couple of months ago after Friedman brutalized Garcia with a top-rope piledriver, culminating in a singles match this past Saturday at All Out 2024. Unfortunately, the former AEW World Champion defeated the 25-year-old star after hitting him with a low blow. MJF tried to trick and attack Garcia after the bout, but the latter spiked Friedman with a piledriver from the turnbuckles.

Following the aforementioned match from All Out, it was reported that Daniel Garcia was originally supposed to pick up a clean victory over MJF. The bout's ending was changed because the former JAS member still has not signed a new deal with AEW. The up-and-comer's contract with the promotion is reportedly set to expire in October, although he has been announced for several future appearances.

A new report from Fightful Select has confirmed previous rumors suggesting that Garcia was initially considered to be booked as the winner at All Out 2024. The update claims that the former ROH Pure Champion was offered a new contract ahead of the pay-per-view and that the Jacksonville-based company had hoped that Garcia would sign it, although supposedly, he has not done so.

The report also claimed that one top AEW talent believed, during the summer, that Garcia would stay on in the promotion, but there has been no solid guarantee. Furthermore, All Elite Wrestling supposedly believes that WWE is interested in signing Garcia, although precise details regarding any communications between the two parties are not available yet.

AEW's Daniel Garcia refused to contract status amidst ongoing WWE rumors

Daniel Garcia's future has been one of the most talked-about subjects amidst speculations regarding his contract status. He has been signed with All Elite Wrestling since 2021 and has impressed many with his in-ring prowess and character work.

While most fans want Garcia to continue in All Elite Wrestling, others have advocated for him to sign with WWE, favoring his chances to grow under Triple H's creative.

During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, the reigning PWG World Champion was asked if he wanted to comment on his contract discussions. Garcia refused to do so, stating:

"No, thank you."
