A top AEW star was on the radar of WWE ahead of his contract expiration however, recent reports suggest that the company has lost hope in signing the star. The name in question is none other than Daniel Garcia.

The 25-year-old was written off television after a brutal attack by MJF on the July 3, episode of AEW Dynamite. The angle was reportedly done due to Daniel Garcia's contract which was coming up in October. Many believed that he plans to leave the promotion to sign with WWE, who has been interested in signing Garcia.

However, Daniel Garcia shocked the fans by returning at All In where he cost MJF the AEW International Title against Will Ospreay. Garcia and MJF are set to square off at All Out on September 7.

In a recent report by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that the Triple H-led WWE believes Daniel Garcia is staying with All Elite Wrestling despite making numerous moves in potentially signing the latter.

Tony Khan recently addressed Daniel Garcia after his AEW return

Daniel Garcia has been with AEW since 2021 and is also a former ROH Pure Champion. However, his booking in the company has been bashed by many fans as they believe that he would be utilized better in WWE. Garcia's contract with the company is expiring in October according to reports, but his recent return might have changed that.

On the post-All In media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about Daniel Garcia's status after returning at All In. Khan reviewed Garcia's career in the company and explained how great it is to have the youngster return at All In and get into the mix with MJF and Will Ospreay.

"It's been about three years with Daniel here. Daniel Garcia started with us in Daily's Place, and he was kind of on that run of shows right before we started wrestling in front of the crowds again. So he's someone who's been with us a really long time, somebody beloved by the fans and backstage, and we love having Daniel here, so without saying exactly what's going in, it's a good sign that he was here, I think, and really great to have him come and take that next step tonight after what happened with him and MJF and Will Ospreay being involved in the International Title," he added. Daniel Garcia is set to face MJF at All Out 2024 in Hoffman Estates, a suburb of Chicago. It will be interesting to see who emerges victorious in the heated matchup.
