It was earlier reported that former WWE star Bobby Lashley has signed with AEW. He was rumored to make his grand entry in the Jacksonville-based promotion at WrestleDream on Saturday. However, to fans' disappointment, he didn't show up.

MVP and Shelton Benjamin have already arrived in AEW. The former made his debut at AEW at Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 25, 2024, while the latter joined AEW's locker room at Dynamite's fifth anniversary on October 2, 2024. There are rumors that MVP would like to form The Hurt Syndicate in AEW.

AEW had originally planned The All Mighty's debut for WrestleDream but the plan didn't fall through. Ibou of WrestlePurists on X (Twitter) clarified why AEW and Tony Khan decided not to introduce him to the AEW fans at WrestleDream on Saturday, October 12, 2024. He stated that Khan wanted Lashley's debut to "stand out," but WrestleDream PPV was already filled with "big angles" so they decided to postpone his arrival.

"The Bobby Lashley debut angle was delayed to allow for it to stand out, as AEW felt they had enough big angles at WrestleDream and didn’t want it to be lost in the shuffle."

Nic Nemeth believes Bobby Lashley's new stable could be a version of The Bloodline

It has been reported that Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin will form a new stable called The Hurt Syndicate in AEW. Speaking on an episode of Busted Open, Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler) stated that the said faction could be as dominating in AEW as The Bloodline is in WWE.

"[The Hurt Syndicate] could be a version of the Bloodline, of just totally dominating but having great stories and having great interviews and promos and then backing it up with the work behind it... There could be something very special for this faction. It could be the new thing that sets them apart," said Nemeth.

The All Mighty, The Franchise Player, and The Gold Standard were part of a stable called The Hurt Business in WWE.
