Jon Moxley recently started heading a new look stable after turning on Bryan Danielson. New details have come to light regarding who was behind the idea.

When Jon Moxley returned from his absence on TV, something was different about him. He aligned himself with Marina Shafir and then he decided to have all the Blackpool Combat Club members, barring Wheeler Yuta turn on Bryan Danielson as they formed a new stable together.

This storyline was one of the most interesting on AEW TV in recent months and culminated in a match between Moxley and Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream 2024. Despite the former Lunatic Fringe winning the match, Yuta too turned on Danielson and choked him out with a plastic bag as several wrestlers tried to save the veteran. The entire segment was well put together, albeit controversial.

Ibou of WrestlePurists reported on their recent RAW review that it was RJ City who had written and produced the Jon Moxley and Blackpool Combat Club's storyline on AEW TV. The 36-year-old is also the head writer for Mariah May's current storyline and has been heavily involved throughout her run in the company.

Jon Moxley gave his brutally honest thoughts about AEW

Ever since he joined AEW, Jon Moxley was seen as the flag bearer of the company. He won the World Championship multiple times and he had nothing but nice things to say about the Jacksonville-based promotion. However, that has changed now.

During the latest episode of Dynamite, Moxley kicked off the show with a promo where he stated he hates what AEW has become before promising to rebuild the promotion.

"I hate what AEW has become. Egos outta control, celebrating when there's no need to celebrate, dancing and partying when there's no need for dancing and partying, I cannot stand it anymore. I will burn down the forest to plant a new one. I'm not sentimental [...] We will do what has to be done. We can see a better future, and we will make it happen [...] What is the new paradigm? It's very simple. You work for me now," he said.

It will be interesting to see what Moxley and his crew have in store for AEW in the future.
