Samoa Joe has been away from AEW television for a few weeks and it has now been revealed what he is up to. The latest reports have indicated that it might be a while till fans see him in the ring again.

The former WWE star was last seen mentoring Hook as he was going head-to-head with the FTW Champion, Chris Jericho. It has now been revealed that the reason for Joe’s absence is because he has been busy filming for the second season of Twisted Metal in Toronto. The news was confirmed by PWInsider.

The report also stated that the current shooting schedule was going to go on till at least the middle of October, but that there would be breaks in between a few episodes here and there. That could let Joe make his presence felt in AEW if there was a need.

He will be reprising his role as Sweet Tooth in the series. It will be interesting to see how the former AEW World Champion will get along in this new season.

Tony Schiavone heaps praise on Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe is one of the most respected stars in the world of wrestling and he is also a veteran with decades of experience under his belt.

Tony Schiavone, who has seen his fair share of great wrestlers, has now heaped praise on Joe and Adam Copeland and said that if all the young wrestlers had their attitude, then they would all be millionaires.

He was speaking on the What Happened When? podcast when he said:

“I say this 100 million times, if everybody in wrestling had the attitude of Edge [Adam Copeland] and Samoa Joe, we would all be millionaires. Never seen two guys with a better attitude in my life, just professional absolutely. That’s not a knock on anybody else, but those are the two that come to mind. They’re the best.”

That is some high praise indeed and it will be heartening for the likes of Joe and Copeland to hear it from someone like Tony Schiavone.
