AEW President Tony Khan purchased the Ring of Honor in May 2022. ROH was originally founded in 2002 and currently operates as a sister promotion to All Elite Wrestling.

Ring of Honor regularly holds TV tapings for their weekly series, Ring of Honor Wrestling on Honor Club. Unfortunately, in the recent one, there were a couple of injuries. Former AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara reportedly got ‘knocked out’ during his match against Serpentico. The 31-year-old fell unconscious shortly after receiving a blow to his head. Thankfully, the AEW medical team was quick to respond to adversity.

The second name who potentially got injured was an independent talent named Kelly Madan. According to PWInsider, Madan suffered an injury during a match against Lady Frost when the latter delivered a spinning move off the ropes and landed on the former's head or neck. The referee soon made the three count, and AEW's medical staff came to the rescue.

Additionally, the venue's lights were dimmed when she was being taken care of. Madan was eventually stretchered off backstage.

Tony Khan comments on AEW's new blockbuster deal with Warner Bros. Discovery

Tony Khan recently signed a blockbuster deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, which will allow OTT platform MAX to stream AEW shows. This deal is reportedly worth more than $150 million per year. Khan was overjoyed by this partnership and said that he was glad that his company got such a massive opportunity.

"It’s a really exciting opportunity for us to be trailblazers on such a massive platform. It’s really exciting for AEW to be the ones that get this opportunity. I think there’s so much great content on the platform, and I think we can bring something new to the greatest library of film and television in the world,'' Tony Khan said. [H/T: THR]
