WWE and AEW will once again go head-to-head later this year. It was announced that both companies are set to host their events on the same date and in the same city as well.

Since its inception in 2019, the Tony Khan-led promotion has become one of the biggest sports entertainment companies in the world. However, WWE is still at the top having been in the industry for decades. Despite this, Khan has not backed down and given tough competition to the rival company.

The two companies have often gone head-to-head in the past. The last time the two shows of the rival companies collided on the same day, it did not end well for the Jacksonville-based company.

The latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown emanated live from the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. During the show, the Stamford-based company announced that it will host a house show as a part of the WWE Holiday Tour in Orlando on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

AEW is also set to host the Worlds End 2024 Pay-Per-View on the same night and around the same location at the Addition Financial Arena in The City Beautiful.

WWE and AEW fans will be excited to hear the news and will be patiently waiting to treat themselves during the holiday season.

AEW is planning to host a stadium show in Australia

With each passing year, AEW is looking to expand its business in different countries. Last year, the Tony Khan-led company entered the English market and held one of its biggest Pay-Per-Views, All In 2023, at Wembley Stadium. The event was so successful that the Jacksonville-based company will return to London, United Kingdom, again later this month for the All In 2024 Pay-Per-View.

It was recently reported that Tony Khan has his sights set on Australia now. He has planned to enter the market of the Land Down Under in 2025. It has been reported that the AEW President wants to organize a stadium show in Australia and a few potential locations have already been picked.

The Stamford-based promotion recently did the same and held the 2024 Elimination Chamber in Perth, Western Australia. The company even utilized Aussie stars like Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax, and Grayson Waller to draw more attention from fans.
