AEW has had its fair share of former WWE Champions. Since 2019, Tony Khan has signed several notable names, including Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho, Adam Copeland, and Jon Moxley. Teddy Long just issued a congratulatory message to a few familiar faces while predicting another major All Elite Wrestling debut.

Bobby Lashley has reportedly signed with All Elite Wrestling, according to the latest leaked backstage update, which included details on nixed debut plans for the veteran.

MVP and Shelton Benjamin officially arrived in AEW over the past few weeks, and are currently trading verbal jabs with Swerve Strickland and his manager Prince Nana. This had fueled rumors and speculation on Lashley reuniting with his former Hurt Business stablemates.

The Hurt Syndicate in AEW was recently discussed on The Wrestling Time Machine, exclusively brought to you by Sportskeeda WrestleBinge.

In joining host Mac Davis and Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter, Teddy Long was asked if he saw The All Mighty joining Montel Vontavious Porter and The Gold Standard in AEW soon. The WWE Hall of Famer gave his prediction while also congratulating MVP and Benjamin.

"Oh, I'm sure he is, we just haven't seen him yet. But let me congratulate Shelton and MVP (...) to be able to leave WWE and go right on over and get a job, congratulations to them because that's what it's all about: getting a paycheck. So, thank AEW for hiring those guys because they really got some good talent there, and if they do it right, they can do something with them, and those guys will be really helpful to him," Teddy Long said. Lashley and MVP both left WWE in mid-August when their contracts expired. Meanwhile, Benjamin was released from WWE on September 21, 2023.

Prince Nana sends message to AEW newcomers

All Elite Wrestling's second annual WrestleDream took place in Tacoma, Washington, on Saturday. The pay-per-view featured a hometown return for Swerve Strickland, but he was interrupted by MVP and Shelton Benjamin.

Tension between the two sides picked up in the ring at WrestleDream, fueling speculation on Bobby Lashley's debut. Prince Nana took to X/Twitter this week to issue a warning to the former WWE duo.

"Family over everything [man dancing emoji x two] [grinning face with smiling eyes emoji] [coffee mug emoji] [money bag emoji x two] PrinceNanaCoffee.com [coffee mug emoji]," Prince Nana wrote with the photo below.

Strickland has faced MVP on one occasion, which came as a win in June 2018 at DEFY Requiem. The former Hit Row member has never wrestled Lashley or Benjamin.
