A former AEW TNT Champion recently claimed that Tony Khan made a major mistake when he missed a big chance to spice up a major feud. The star in question here is Scorpio Sky.

Sky sustained an injury last year in October. Earlier this year in May, he announced his return to the ring. A video package was played on Rampage where he addressed his absence and indicated a major comeback too.

Sky was the special guest on a recent edition of Insight with Chris Van Vliet. During the conversation, he discussed his 2022 storyline with Sammy Guevara.

He stated that AEW should've turned him into a babyface during his feud with The Spanish God. But it didn't happen, and they lost a major opportunity to build a great story.

He said, "I think that we didn't capitalize on that the way we should have. The thing with Sammy and I, the fans in the beginning, he was the babyface I was the heel, and then they started turning during and we didn't lean right into that, and at the time I was thinking like I need to probably go babyface here like this is like listen to the audience but that wasn't really the plan. So it was a little bit of a push and pull type of situation where we probably should have just listened to the audience." [H/T WrestlingInc]

AEW star Sammy Guevera forms an alliance with WWE legend

Earlier this year in February, Sammy Guevara had a match with Jeff Hardy where he accidentally injured his opponent. He was suspended by the company for not allegedly adhering to concussion protocols. His suspension was lifted in May.

He returned to action by debuting on ROH a couple of weeks ago where he saved WWE legend Dustin Rhodes from getting attacked by The Dark Order.

Last week, he expressed his interest in allying himself with Dustin Rhodes and The Von Erichs. This happened during AEW Collision when Lexy Nair was interviewing Rhodes, Ross, and Marshall backstage.
