During the latest episode of AEW Collision, Dustin Rhodes recreated an iconic moment featuring a WWE Hall of Famer. This would be the hilarious moment Shawn Michaels and Melina had in 2006.
At the time, the former Divas Champion was in a romantic relationship with Johnny Nitro (Johnny TV) and she was always ringside for his matches.
During the Survivor Series match in 2006, Shawn Michaels took advantage of Melina's back being turned on him and wrapped his arm around her. Thinking that he was her partner, she became cozy with him until she realized that she was hugging the enemy.
Tonight on Collision, Dustin Rhodes faced Johnny TV in singles action. The latter was accompanied by his wife, Taya Valkyrie, who stood as his ringside backup.
At a point in the match, The Natural paid tribute to HBK's maneuver, sneaking in to wrap his arm around Taya. It was such a coincidence that Johnny had fallen victim to this move once more after almost 18 years since Shawn Michaels pulled this on him.
This would not be the first time that stars have paid tribute to the hilarious moment. In WWE, Seth Rollins and Rhea Ripley pulled this off during a tag team match.
