AEW President Tony Khan celebrated his company's fifth anniversary at the sixth annual Double or Nothing pay-per-view in Las Vegas last night. Following the big show, he was spotted at a party with some top All Elite stars.
This year's Double or Nothing featured a stacked card, with both Mercedes Mone and Swerve Strickland winning their title matches. At the media scrum following the event, Mone claimed that she was throwing a party to celebrate her capture of the TBS Championship from Willow Nightingale.
It looks like the party was a raucous affair. A video surfaced on X/Twitter today with footage from the blowout, which featured Mercedes Mone, Swerve Strickland, and AEW President Tony Khan celebrating with a cake made for the new TBS Champion.

NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi also expressed interest in the party at the media scrum, claiming that he wanted a piece of cake. Whether the Japanese legend managed to get a slice is unknown.
Tony Khan and Mercedes Mone discussed the latter's debut and first match
Mercedes Mone made her AEW debut back in March 2024 but hadn't wrestled a match for the company until last night at Double or Nothing. Many fans wondered why it took so long for The CEO to step into the ring, but it turns out Tony Khan and Mone were considering the right time and place.
Speaking at the post-show media scrum last night, Mone revealed that careful consideration had determined the best date and location for her debut and the first match in the promotion:
"We were really talking about when was the perfect place and time for me to debut in the ring. We knew March 13 was going to be amazing in the Boston Garden. When Tony called me, he said, 'I have the perfect place for you to debut - Boston, baby.' I was like, 'Tony! Tony... you are just speaking my language. You just speaking the Moné,' and then he said, 'We are celebrating AEW’s 5-year anniversary here in Las Vegas for Double Or Nothing. Can you wait?' I said, 'B****! I’ve been waiting for a whole year, of course I can wait. I'm patient.'"
Mercedes is now the TBS Champion, and Tony Khan seemed to enjoy AEW's five-year anniversary despite being dragged out from backstage by Jack Perry and almost set on fire.
