MJF did the unthinkable and delivered an earth-shattering piledriver from the second rope to a top AEW star. This meant that the Salt of the Earth was well and truly back.
The star who got attacked is Daniel Garcia. He and MJF have been tense since last week when Will Ospreay interrupted their conversation and challenged Daniel Garcia. That seemed to have left a bad taste in Maxwell's mouth.
Garcia lost the match against Ospreay thanks to an apparent distraction from Friedman, which is when the tables turned. After the match, Garcia and Maxwell appeared to hug it out, but the latter delivered a low blow. He then went on to attack the 25-year-old without any remorse.
He hoisted the former Jericho Appreciation Society member on his back and delivered a powerbomb from the second rope. That brought out the medical personnel and even interim EVP Christopher Daniels.
Seeing all this carnage, Will Ospreay came out to defend the man he had just beaten. Maxwell slithered out of the ring, exiting the fans' seating area and outside the arena.
