The AEW tag team division is stacked with talent. The roster features top duos like The Young Bucks and FTR, to rising acts such as MxM Collection and The Outrunners, as well as factions with their own teams, like The Blackpool Combat Club and The Undisputed Kingdom. Now a certain manager is looking to lead an All Elite Wrestling tag team to the top of the division.
Stokely Hathaway spent five years as a top manager and part-time wrestler in ROH, EVOLVE, MLW, and other promotions before joining WWE in March 2019. First known as Court Moore and later as Malcolm Bivens, the Harlem native managed Dabba-Kato, Indus Sher, Tyler Rust, and The Diamond Mine before his release in April 2022, which incidentally came after he turned down a contract extension.
Hathaway joined AEW and ROH in May 2022. Currently, he manages Kris Statlander but has been affiliated with MJF and Private Party, among others. Big Stoke is now looking for a new tag team to lead to AEW gold.
A vignette aired on Collision that showed the ROH Board of Directors member sitting down to watch the following matches: Sting and Darby Allin retaining the World Tag Team Championship over The Young Bucks at Revolution 2024, one of three Swerve In Our Glory vs. The Acclaimed matches, The Kingdom retaining the ROH World Tag Team Championship over Kyle O'Reilly and Tomohiro Ishii at Death Before Dishonor 2024, plus FTR vs. The Briscoes I and III.
Hathaway ends the segment by sitting down to watch Sting's retirement match from earlier this year. AEW captioned the post with a teaser for what's to come.

Hathaway re-tweeted the video, but he has not publicly commented as of this writing. The 33-year-old wrestled his first match in more than a year at the Collision tapings on August 21, where he and Statlander defeated Nina Samuels and Kid Lykos. Hathaway and Statlander then were defeated by Ishii and Willow Nightingale on the All In pre-show after he mocked Triple H.
AEW Grand Slam 2024 updated lineups
All Elite Wrestling will present its 2024 Grand Slam specials later this month. The Dynamite: Grand Slam episode will air live on September 25, while the inaugural Collision: Grand Slam episode will be taped that night to air three days later.
FTW Champion HOOK vs. Roderick Strong is the only Collision match announced as of now. Below is the updated Dynamite lineup:
- Non-Title Match: World Champion Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness
- Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley (Allin's guaranteed World Championship shot will be on the line)
- World Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks (c) vs. Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher
Officials have confirmed that there will be no Rampage: Grand Slam special for the first time this year. The September 27 Rampage will be taped on Saturday, September 21 in Springfield, MA along with Collision.
