AEW recently announced that they signed a blockbuster multi-year multimedia rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. Even though the exact financial terms of this partnership are unknown, it is speculated to exceed $150 million per year.

Interestingly, prominent wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer recently revealed on the Wrestling Observer Radio that a percentage of AEW is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. He added that this is good for Tony Khan's company because the chances of All Elite Wrestling receiving good time slots increase. Upon learning this, former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Vince Russo had an interesting response.

In the recent episode of The Coach & Bro Show on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Backstage Pass, Russo implied that the only reason All Elite Wrestling got a TV deal, was because Warner Brothers Discovery has partial ownership of the company.

"First of all, for people jumping on you whats the scuttlebutt now? Whats the word on the street that we're hearing? The word on the street that we're hearing is now perhaps Warner Brothers Discovery owns part of the company? Could that have anything to do with why Tony Khan got a television deal in the first place bro? Cause supposedly they are saying they own interest in the company, that's why the deal was renewed" said Russo.

Jonathan Coachman hits back at people criticizing him for his views on AEW

Jonathan Coachman aka. The Coach is vocal about his opinions on AEW. He criticizes the company regularly, and this has rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way. In the above-mentioned episode of The Coach & Bro Show, the former interim RAW GM responded to the hate comments directed towards him.

"Let me be very clear about something. I don't spend my time saying 'Listen can make a living basing these wrestling shows'. This is the credibility and experience that Vince (Russo) and I bring. So when somebody goes online and saying 'Coach, nobody cares about your opinion', well, you're on my page." he said.

It'll be interesting to see what the future holds for AEW following their new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery
