Bryan Danielson mentioned some time ago that 2024 will be his last year as a full-time wrestler. A top AEW has now stated that he wants to be the one to retire the current AEW World Champion.

Daniel Garcia has proven many times that he has what it takes to be a top star in the business. When he stops dancing and is focused, he can beat anyone at any given time. During his run in AEW, Garcia has picked up many notable wins. But the biggest win of his career was when he made Bryan Danielson tap out. Garcia is set to compete in another big match at AEW All Out.

During a recent appearance on Good Karma Wrestling, Daniel Garcia mentioned that it was his goal to retire The American Dragon and this achievement would mean more to him than any title or accolade.

”Man, I mean, the goal that I’ve had for probably the past two years, it’s really a goal that only one person can do is I really want to be the person to retire Bryan Danielson. That’s something that I really wanna do. To me, that would mean more than any title, any accolade. I feel like that’s the biggest notch in my belt that I could ever get, and that is my main focus and that is my goal.” [H/T: Ringside News]

Bryan Danielson received a "legal letter" from WWE

Before signing with AEW, Bryan Danielson worked in WWE for several years. During his time with the company, Danielson came up with the famous "YES!" chants which still echo throughout the arenas.

When Danielson jumped ship to Tony Khan's promotion, his infamous chants also followed suit. Recently, Bryan tried to file a trademark for the chants but was stopped. During an interview with Luke James Chats, Bryan admitted that he received a "legal letter" from WWE warning him that filing the trademark would be infringement.

"Well so, it’s weird. I applied for it (‘Yes’ chant trademark) but then I got — it wasn’t necessarily a cease and desist. I got some sort of legal letter from WWE (he laughed). Listen, listen, it’s really weird because my manager just texted me and said, ‘Hey, this thing is available. Do you wanna get it?’ And I was like, ‘How much does it cost?’ And it wasn’t that much and I was like, ‘Okay, sure’ and then, shortly after that, I got an email from WWE saying, oh, ‘This is infringing’ on this or that or whatever and I’m like, ‘Dude, I’m not trying to sell anybody anything. I just do my thing.’"
