A former AEW World Champion rejected the proposal put out by MVP and The Hurt Syndicate at WrestleDream 2024. The star made his return after his brutal defeat at All Out.

The AEW star in conversation is the former World Champion, Swerve Strickland. Swerve made his blockbuster return at the WrestleDream 2024 pay-per-view. He was last seen at All Out, where he was defeated by Hangman Adam Page in a violent Unsanctioned Cage Match.

Swerve showed up alongside his manager, Prince Nana, and addressed the fans in Tacoma, Washington. Strickland also informed the crowd that he is now medically cleared to compete. He was then interrupted by MVP and Shelton Benjamin, who offered a place for Strickland in The Hurt Syndicate. However, Swerve rejected the proposal.

MVP tried to manipulate Strickland and pit him against Prince Nana. However, Swerve declared that Nana was his family. The former AEW World Champion also had a little altercation with Shelton Benjamin before MVP and Shelton left the ring.

Swerve also hugged Prince Nana in the end to clear any doubt. Moreover, Swerve announcing that he is medically cleared is great news for the fans, and only time will tell what's next for him.
