Former AEW Tag Team Champion Ricky Starks has been the talk of the town ever since rumors about his frustrations with the promotion were spread on social media. The Absolute did reveal that he never turned down any creative pitch by the promotion. A return at WrestleDream 2024 by attacking Jon Moxley could reignite the fire Starks had after winning the Owen Hart Foundation tournament.

The former FTW Champion has been absent from television since March 2024. He was last seen as a part of a tag team alongside Big Bill. However, the duo has seemingly parted ways as the former WWE star joined Chris Jericho's The Learning Tree a couple of months ago. According to recent reports, Starks' absence has been due to a lack of creative plans however, the star has defused those rumors.

Ricky Starks has also revealed that he is cleared to compete after suffering an injury in his last match. A return at WrestleDream to side with Bryan Danielson against Jon Moxley in their AEW World Title match can put The Absolute in a promising position. Starks has been regarded as one of the pillars of the Jacksonville-based promotion and this might be the right time to book him in a major storyline. He could even turn on Bryan Danielson later and challenge for the World Title himself.

Tony Khan can't wait to have Ricky Starks back on AEW TV

AEW CEO Tony Khan seems to be a huge fan of Ricky Starks. In an interview with SHAK Wrestling earlier this year, Tony praised The Absolute and said that he would love to get him involved on television soon. He also called Starks a huge part of what the promotion has done for the past four years.

"I really, really like Ricky Starks a lot; the last time we saw him here was in the World Tag Team Championship Tournament. He and Big Bill formed a great team, and they were the World Tag Team Champions! I think Ricky Starks is tremendous! I'd love to get him involved and back in AEW anytime. He's been a huge part of what we've done here for about four out of five years, and tons of respect for Rico!"

We will have to wait and see if Ricky Starks returns to All Elite Wrestling later tonight.
