A top AEW star gave her take on Mercedes Mone's match at Double or Nothing 2024. She said it was the most important of her career.

Thunder Rosa is the latest to weigh on Mercedes Mone's first match in AEW. Not too long ago, Mone made her AEW debut and quickly inserted herself into the TBS Championship picture. Now, she is facing the TBS Champion Willow Nightingale at AEW Double or Nothing 2014. This is one of the most highly anticipated matches on the card due to it being Mercedes' in-ring debut in AEW.

Speaking on the Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa mentioned that this match could have major implications on Mercedes' AEW career moving forward. She said they have to put on a great match or the fans will never let them live it down:

"It's probably the most important match in her career because the anticipation is really high," she said. Adding to this, Rosa pointed out that the bar is high for the feud and that fans will likely never let them live it down if the match is a dud,"They better deliver because if they don't they're gonna eat them alive." Nic Nemeth critiques Mercedes Mone's mic work

Recently, Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Mone had a contract signing for their match at AEW Double or Nothing. After the segment was done, Mercedes tried to take a cheap shot at Nightingale but ended up going through the table.

During the same episode of the Busted Open Radio, Nic Nemeth stated that Mercedes seemed to be overacting a bit:

"You're like, 'Is this purposely — is she purposely doing this?' Because now we're starting to see through this, or is it just not her strong suit? So, I don't know the difference in the two." [H/T WrestlingInc.]

It will be interesting to see if Mercedes Mone will win her first AEW title in her first match in the company.
