An AEW faction has just revealed that they have officially split up during their appearance in a backstage promo moments ago on Rampage. This would be Cage of Agony.

The trio were known as Mogul Embassy during their time when they were aligned with Swerve Strickland. They turned on their leader and reverted to being a trio, now known as Cage of Agony instead. They have not had the best of runs since, but at one point, they aligned with CMLL luchador Hechicero when he was feuding with MJF before Forbidden Door.

Earlier tonight at AEW Rampage, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona appeared in a backstage segment ahead of their three-way tag team match against Shane Taylor Promotions and Undisputed Kingdom next week.

They talked about how the likes of Tully Blanchard, Swerve Strickland, Hechicero, Prince Nana, and Brian Cage had all left them, but they were still pushing forward.

This explains why after winning the ROH TV Championship last weekend at AEW WrestleDream, Brian Cage was spotted with the Don Callis Family. It seems that he has chosen to leave the Gates of Agony behind and join them instead.

The Machine may have been looking for an even bigger opportunity to shine, and with Don Callis enlisting him to their faction, they could be an even bigger force to be reckoned with in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
