Tony Khan pays special tribute to former ROH COO Joe Koff before tapings, leads crowd into a chant

Tony Khan is not just the owner of All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He also owns Ring of Honor (ROH). This company was established 22 years ago in 2002 and is known worldwide for promoting pure professional wrestling. In March 2022, Khan announced that he had purchased ROH.

Earlier this week, ROH's former Chief Operating Officer Joe Koff passed away at the age of 73. He was an immensely respected individual and was instrumental in the company's success in the past decade. Interstingly, according to PWInsider, Tony Khan honored the great man before the ROH taping in Stockton, California.

Reports suggest that Khan wholeheartedly praised Koff. He stated that the former COO kept Ring of Honor alive and was always good to him. Additionally, he stated that the 73-year-old's death was a massive loss to professional wrestling and thanked him for making the company popular all across the world.

The segment ended with Tony Khan leading the fans in the arena with a "Joe" chant.


Apart from Tony Khan, Major League Wrestling also paid tribute to Joe Koff

After Koff's passing, many wrestlers and individuals associated with the business paid tribute to him. Major League Wrestling (MLW) too shared a heartfelt tribute.

Several popular names such as Pentagon Jr., MVP, Tyson Kidd, CM Punk, Matt Riddle, and more have performed in this promotion. Furthermore, current Bloodline member Jacob Fatu is the longest reign MLW World Heavyweight Champion.
