Toni Storm recently had a major match outside Tony Khan's AEW. She wrestled Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women's Championship in Nagoya, Japan on Saturday, October 5th.

The Timeless One last wrestled in AEW at All In London 2024 where she lost her AEW Women's Championship to former protege-turned-enemy Mariah May. She hasn't been seen on All Elite Wrestling programming since then.

Amidst her absence from the Jacksonville-based promotion, Storm returned to World Wonder Ring Stardom after five years. She had quite a physical match against Mayu Iwatani on Saturday but failed to capture the IWGP Women's Championship and end the star's impressive reign. The ending spot of the match saw the champion hit a Poisonrana to the challenger for the three. Iwatani has been the champion for 531+ days now.

Following the match, the fans in the arena saw the two stars display true sportsmanship and acknowledge each other in the middle of the ring. They even shared an emotional moment and a hug.

"You are the IWGP Champion I respect more than any other wrestler. I love you Mayu! Thank you," said Toni Storm after their match.

Toni Storm is nothing like her on-screen character, says her real-life husband

Toni Storm plays a vintage character in AEW and every time the camera points towards her, the screen turns black and white. But her husband Juice Robinson revealed that she is very "colorful" in real life, unlike her on-screen Timeless character.

"Well, I'll tell you. She may look black & white on TV but to live with her personally, life is anything but black & white. It's very coloful," he said during an interv eiw with SHAK Wrestling.

The former AEW Women's Champion started dating Juice Robinson in June 2020. They got married in 2022.
