AEW CEO Tony Khan always tries to feature his top talent on TV. However, one notable name has been absent for a considerable period. The star in question is none other than Ricky Starks.

Stroke Daddy headed into 2024 as the AEW World Tag Team Champion alongside Big Bill. However, the duo lost the title to Darby Allin and Sting on the February 7, 2024, episode of Dynamite. Starks has been absent from television since the March 30 episode of Collision. The Absolute star has reportedly rejected several creative ideas for his return and apparently has backstage heat due to his alleged desire to join WWE.

Meanwhile, according to a recent report by PWInsider, the Triple H-led promotion is interested in signing Ricky Starks and some other All Elite talents whose contracts are set to expire soon.

Fans reacted to the report on X (Twitter), and some of them claimed that Tony Khan won't let Ricky Starks leave the Jacksonville-based company.

''We all know they are tampering with talent at this point,'' a fan claimed.

Meanwhile, some other fans were divided on Starks' potential departure from All Elite Wrestling.

"Ricky should leave AEW. I don't think TK is losing much here," a fan claimed.
"I’d enjoy seeing Ricky in NXT and on WWE TV," a fan stated.

AEW star Ricky Starks will do well in WWE, according to Booker T

Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Ricky Starks is one of the most underutilized talents in Tony Khan's promotion.

Meanwhile, during a recent episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, NXT commentator Booker T shared his thoughts on Stroke Daddy. The WWE Hall of Famer claimed that Starks had the look and the swagger to fit into the Sports Entertainment juggernaut ''perfectly!'' under the Triple H-led regime.

“I think he fits in perfectly. I think he’s got that look; he’s got the swagger. His name has gotten there before he did, so that right there said a whole lot about Ricky Starks. The guy believes in himself. He has something; I don’t know what it is. People are always comparing him to The Rock. Me personally, I don’t see that. But his promo style, his dress, perhaps, maybe look—I don’t know. But people do compare him a lot to The Rock,'' he said. [H/T: Ewrestling News]

It will be interesting to see if the 34-year-old joins the Triple H-led WWE in the coming months.
