The internet has been buzzing about Shane McMahon's recent private meeting with AEW President Tony Khan. ECW legend Francine has now shared her take on the matter.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Shane-O-Mac was no longer under contract with WWE. This led fans to speculate that he might join another popular promotion, perhaps AEW. Later, the news of Shane McMahon and Tony Khan having a private meeting surfaced online, sending the pro wrestling world into a frenzy.

On the Eyes Up Here podcast, The Queen of Extreme Francine commented on Shane McMahon and Khan's recent interaction. She believed the meeting was an indirect insult to WWE.

"This is the ultimate FU to that company that his grandfather built from the ground up and his father took over and made it a multibillion-dollar empire. That is the biggest finger to the face that you can do for your rival company." [From 6:20 to 6:37]

WWE veteran believes Tony Khan must sell AEW to Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon

On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, WWE veteran Vince Russo said the AEW President should sell the company to Shane McMahon. Russo claimed that the Jacksonville-based company was not making profits, so it would be a great deal for the Khans.

"Tony Khan sold Shahid Khan the idea of starting a wrestling company and making millions and millions of dollars. We are five years in. This company has clearly lost millions and millions of dollars. So now if all of a sudden, bro, there is not gonna be a television deal, I have lost millions of dollars after the last five years, and I have gotta answer to my old man? Bro, what an out for Tony Khan."

When AEW started in 2019, many believed it would be a massive threat to WWE's supposed monopoly in the American pro wrestling scene. Over the past five years, the Tony Khan-led organization has had its fair share of ups and downs.
