A former WWE World Champion is rumored to sign with AEW after his recent departure from the Stamford-based promotion. Fans on social media are now ready to see him in the Tony Khan-led promotion.

The name in question is Bobby Lashley. He recently left the global juggernaut after a great second run. The All Mighty last competed in April 2024 on an episode of SmackDown, where he faced LA Knight and Santos Escobar in a Triple Threat Match.

Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin are currently rumored to sign with AEW. The former Hurt Business members reportedly had talks with the Tony Khan-led company. Meanwhile, Lashley recently took to his Instagram handle to share a post showcasing his championship wins. In the post's caption, he wrote:

"The journey is far from over…"

Lashley seemingly hinted that he still has much to offer to the pro wrestling business. Fans on Instagram reacted to the post and mentioned that Lashley would look great with the AEW World Title belt.

Bobby Lashley on his plans after WWE departure

While Bobby Lashley is rumored to join AEW after a remarkable WWE run, he may instead pursue a different career altogether. In an interview with The Bo and Them Show recently, Lashley said he was open to MMA, boxing, and acting besides being interested in a pro wrestling comeback.

“I’m doing it all. I look at it this way—first of all, YOLO, you only live once but I have a lot of gas in the tank. I’m in great shape. I feel good. I’m motivated. I’m rested (...) Wrestling, yes. Boxing, yes, MMA, yes. Acting, yes. Everything, yes. But I have a lot of different things going on right now.”

Lashley also revealed that he got an offer from a boxing company recently. Only time will tell what the future has in store for the former WWE Champion.
