Swerve Strickland has made a big announcement amid his current absence from AEW. This will surely get the fans excited.

The former AEW World Champion has not been seen in action after All Out in September where he lost to Hangman Adam Page in a Lights Out Steel Cage match that lasted over 30 minutes. Since then, his manager Prince Nana has been the one making appearances.

A lot of fans have been wondering what Strickland has been up to and he has now provided an update. Taking to X/Twitter, the former AEW World Champion has revealed that he was busy working on a song with renowned songwriter Eric Bellinger.

“Just did a song with @EricBellinger,” he wrote.

It will be interesting to see what kind of song this is going to be and how much would Swerve Strickland be involved with the song overall.

Vince Russo calls recent Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Adam Page match ridiculous

Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland were both involved in a bloody match at AEW All Out in September. The two men went to war and Page came out victorious ultimately.

There was a spot in the match where Strickland took a chair shot to the head and that has been criticised by a lot of people in the wrestling world. Vince Russo has now had his say on the incident and called it ridiculous.

He was speaking exclusively on Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Outlaws when he said:

"There is a chairshot to the head of Strickland, where he literally had his arms down and gave his head. And they are saying that they gimmicked the chair. Okay bro, in order for the gimmick chair to work, you still gotta hit him over the head with it. You have got to make contact with his head for the gimmick chair to break. You are still hitting him over the head, bro."

Strickland has not been seen since that match and will be hoping to come back stronger than ever when he finally does make a comeback.
