Swerve Strickland fired a personal shot at a former AEW World Champion. These two men were involved in a highly intense rivalry not too long ago.

Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page had one of the most heated rivalries in AEW history. Their feud lasted for a very long time and involved some highly controversial moments.

One such controversial moment was when Swerve entered Hangman Page's house and spoke to his child in his crib. This segment infuriated Page and sent him spiraling down a destructive path. He hasn't been able to move on since the incident. The two men finally competed in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match at AEW All Out that was as controversial as their rivalry.

Although the match occurred a month ago, Swerve has already fired some personal shots at Hangman's child during his recent appearance on the No Contest Wrestling podcast:

Swerve Strickland opened up about Hangman Page burning down his house

Before their match at AEW All Out 2024, Hangman Page had visited Swerve's childhood home and burnt it to the ground. Swerve had purchased this home with the money he got from his new AEW contract which made their feud more personal.

Speaking on the same episode of the No Contest Wrestling podcast, Swerve opened up about the controversial segment. He said that Hangman identified that he was sentimental about his childhood home and he tried to take that away from him:

"What's something that is sentimental to me, the Swerve character? All that horrible, diabolical stuff I have done, there is still a human in there that has sentiment and values. Now, Hangman, it took a while, but Hangman found it. It was my home. Me buying back my home, with my success, it brought something else out of Hangman to take that away from me. The sentimental thing with Hangman was his family and home. We're very similar because the sentimental thing for me was my family and home. We're very similar, but opposite at the same time," said Swerve. [H/T Fightful]

It will be interesting to see if these two men will renew their rivalry again after Swerve Strickland's recent comments.
