Former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara issued a huge challenge to a top titleholder on this week's AEW Collision. He reflected on his immediate future in a backstage promo and challenged Kazuchika Okada in a huge match.

Guevara was suspended for a while after a botched move in a match against Jeff Hardy. He seemingly did not follow concussion protocols and was taken off television. He then spent a few weeks in ROH, AEW's sister promotion, before being brought back to the company's programming. While there were heavy doubts at one point about the star's future, Guevara seems to have once again settled down on the roster as his next match seems to be an indication in that direction.

On the latest episode of AEW Collision, Sammy Guevara teamed up with Dustin Rhodes to defend the ROH World Tag Team Title against the Undisputed Kingdom in a Bunkhouse Brawl match. The match featured multiple violent spots, with Guevara being thrown from the top of a ladder.

In the final stages of the bout, Guevara scored the pinfall with a Swanton Bomb from the top of a ladder and retained the title. After the brutal match, Dustin and The Spanish God appeared in a backstage segment. During his promo, Guevara issued a challenge to Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada for Grand Slam next week.

Sammy Guevara challenged Okada to a title eliminator match. If The Spanish God wins, he will get a Continental Title match against Okada at the 5-year anniversary episode of Dynamite.

Only time will tell if the match ends up being made official and whether Sammy will manage to earn a Continental title shot.
