Former WWE Superstar Ricochet is making waves in AEW in several different ways. In a recent interview, he and RJ City made a cheeky reference to the high-flying star's fiancée, RAW ring announcer, Samantha Irvin.

Ricochet and Irvin have been together since 2021 and got engaged last year. The two are now separated by promotional lines between WWE and AEW, but The One and Only still has his fiancée on his mind, as evidenced by his recent appearance on Hey! EW.

The 35-year-old appeared on the YouTube show alongside RJ City today, and the two had plenty to talk about. But it was a seemingly innocuous question from RJ that brought Samantha Irvin into the picture:

"What is your favorite surface to bounce off of? [Ricochet gives a meaningful look at the camera] I got it, I understand. And shout-out to her," said RJ City. [4:50 - 4:59]

Samantha Irvin responds to Ricochet's arguments with fans

Ricochet spent six years in WWE and found a small measure of success there. The 35-year-old is a former Intercontinental, United States, North American, and Speed Champion, but many believe he wasn't utilized to his fullest capabilities in the Stamford-based promotion.

The One and Only has spoken up about his frustration since leaving WWE, and it's sparked several arguments online, with fans accusing the high-flying star of being bitter. Samantha Irvin recently joined in the discussion, sarcastically reminding her fiancé that the fans are always right.

"No honey, they are allowed to make fun of you as much as they want! You have to be silent and say nothing!!! If you say anything, they may think you are angry, hahaha," she wrote.

The 35-year-old recently met his longtime rival, Will Ospreay, in the ring once again. The two competed for Ospreay's International Championship, but interference from Konosuke Takeshita ended the match without a clear victor. The three will now face off in a three-way battle for the title at WrestleDream this Saturday.
