A top AEW star recently hinted at being open to competing once more outside of the Tony Khan-led promotion in the future. This comes just a few days after she made her in-ring return on the promotion after three months. This would be Anna Jay.

Jay was in Japan last month as she was one of the featured competitors in World Wonder Ring Stardom's 5STAR Grand Prix tournament. Although she was unsuccessful in winning the whole thing, the 26-year-old star still came away with four wins. During a recent episode of Rampage, she made her AEW in-ring return, defeating Robyn Renegade in singles action.

Yesterday, on X/Twitter, Will Ospreay commended Anna Jay after claiming that he saw immediate improvements in her in-ring work after her time in Japan over the past month. She replied to this and mentioned how she loved the experience and would love to go back to Japan someday.

"The experience was amazing. I would love to go back someday."

It remains to be seen whether Jay will compete in Japan moving forward.

Anna Jay has hinted at going after two major AEW titles

A few weeks ago, Anna Jay was featured in a backstage segment, as she spoke about her time in Japan and what she was set to do now that she was back in AEW.

She brought up how she had her sights set on two certain champions, namely Mariah May and Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks. Anna wanted a shot at the world champion, and she had never faced The CEO before. Jay was looking to show everyone on the roster how much she had improved in the ring.

"I just got back from Japan. I was wrestling, learning, honing my skills, becoming the best that I can be. It was not easy. I was tired, sore, beat up, but let me tell you what I learned while I was there. I want more, so much more. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship. Mariah May is due for a very big receipt, and I’ve also never stepped into the ring with Mercedes Moné. So, let me make it easy for all of you: if you want to see how evolved Anna Jay has become... just try me," Anna Jay said.

Following a successful in-ring return, fans will just have to tune in to find out what Jay's first major feud could be now that she is back and hungry for action.
