Photo: Shockingly poor attendance at recent AEW show

AEW recently taped the October 19, edition of Collision, but the show suffered from a notable amount of empty seats in the crowd. Collision was taped from the Adventist Health Arena in Stockton, California.

Tony Khan-led AEW has done a great job keeping Dynamite and Collision separate shows. While the attendance for the shows is often inconsistent, Dynamite usually does well compared to Collision. Many have advised the promotion to run smaller venues for Dynamite and Collision, as it helps the product look great on television.

The Adventist Health Arena can hold up to 12,000 fans but AEW set up Collision for 2,614 tickets. According to WrestleTix, the show unfortunately sold only 2,285 tickets. Some photographs of the tapings were posted by fans on social media which could be a bad look for the promotion once the show is aired on TNT.

It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan airs future shows from smaller venues.

Konnan claims Tony Khan inflated numbers in AEW and WBD deal

All Elite Wrestling recently renewed its deal with Warner Bros. Discovery after a successful run for the past few years. The new deal will let the promotion bring Dynamite and Collision to HBO Max. In a recent edition of his Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL podcast, Konnan claimed the agreement is not worth $120 million and accused Tony Khan of putting some of his own money.

"They got a little bit more, right? I'm sure that's not what they were looking for and on top of that, I still stand by my statement and I could be absolutely wrong and this is not being a hater... I wouldn't doubt if they gave him 120 million, Khan didn't put in some of his own money so he wouldn't look bad." [From 02:58 to 03:20]

We will have to wait and see how the All Elite Wrestling product looks once it moves to Max in January 2025.
