Earlier tonight following WWE's Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event, CM Punk made a slight nod to AEW's infamous Brawl Out incident a few years ago. Fans have reacted to the same and took this as the Second City Saint not getting over past incidents.

Back in 2022, an incident occurred following the AEW All Out Pay-Per-View that year. This saw The Elite, Punk, and Ace Steel get into a scuffle backstage. All parties involved were suspended indefinitely by the Tony Khan-led promotion.

CM Punk was being interviewed backstage by Jackie Redmond following the Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event, where he competed against Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match. The Best in the World talked about finally getting retribution after Drew had stolen something important to his family, a bracelet containing the names of his wife, AJ Lee, and his dog, Larry.

Punk then made a slight reference to the Brawl Out incident saying that he was planning to go after anyone who messed with his dog. During the incident in 2022, his dog was reportedly there when the scuffle took place, and it was mentioned that Kenny Omega was the one who moved him to safety as he was in the middle of it all.

Several fans were quick to notice the slight jab at AEW, and how Punk was firing a shot at The Elite specifically.

"Ooh a nice little brawl out reference too lmao," one fan mentioned.
"Phil can't let go of his ex AEW," another fan claimed.
"I mean Punk’s not lying here. Just ask The Elite," said another.

Many were not a fan of this as they felt that The Straight Edge Superstar had not gotten over the incident, hence why he alluded to this suddenly.

"CM Petty," a fan replied.
"RENT FREE," another fan mentioned.
"Here we go again," another claimed.

It remains to be seen how the feud between Punk and Drew progresses after the former emerged victorious against the latter at Bash in Berlin 2024.

CM Punk is setting his sights on a major WWE championship

CM Punk was seen in another backstage interview this time with Cathy Kelley as he addressed what was next for him after defeating Drew McIntyre and potentially putting their feud to rest.

The Best in the World mentioned how he was looking forward to the main event of Bash in Berlin 2024, which featured Gunther defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton.

Punk hinted at going after the winner, as he felt that he was better than both of them and he wanted a title around his waist.

The Ring General came out on top against The Viper, so fans will just have to stay tuned in the coming weeks to find out if CM Punk steps up to the Austrian star to challenge for his title. With a stacked roster on RAW, other contenders could emerge as well.
