In a surprising social media post, AEW star Max Caster accused a 33-year-old colleague of supposedly holding him back in the Tony Khan-led promotion. The latter is Anthony Bowens.
"Platinum" Max Caster is arguably one of AEW's most controversial stars today, known for his cocky, defiant persona and the innovative rap verses he employs against his opponents. He has been making appearances in All Elite Wrestling since 2020 and teamed with Anthony Bowens for the first time on the October 27 episode of Dark in a losing effort against Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor. The duo would be signed by Tony Khan soon afterwards, and continue to tag together as The Acclaimed.
Caster and Bowens have emerged as two of the most popular "homegrown talent" in the locker room, having held the AEW World Tag Team Championships as well as the World Trios Titles along with Billy Gunn. The Acclaimed are currently feuding with The Young Bucks and with FTR and are scheduled to challenge Matthew and Nicholas Jackson for their Tag Titles on Dynamite en route to the promotion's upcoming pay-per-view, All In 2024.
Although Max Caster is notorious for clapping back against his detractors on social media, the 35-year-old star seemingly took aim at his own tag team partner during a recent exchange on X/Twitter.
When a user undermined Caster's value as a singles performer and claimed that he was holding Anthony Bowens back, the former surprised everyone by replying that it was he who was held back by Bowens.
"If anything, Bowens holds ME back! And everyone agrees."

Max Caster wants Bryan Danielson to lose at AEW All In 2024
Bryan Danielson's upcoming Title vs. Career bout against Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship is perhaps the most anticipated match on the card for All In 2024. While fans from across the world want The American Dragon to reach the summit of his All Elite career at Wembley Stadium, Max Caster recently revealed his feelings to the contrary.
He has been open about his seeming dislike for Bryan Danielson on social media, especially owing to the latter's role in AEW's disciplinary committee.
Caster took to X/Twitter this past weekend and revealed that he was pulling for his former rival Swerve Strickland to defeat Bryan, evidently voicing his wish to see Danielson's wrestling career end at Wembley Stadium.
"Can’t believe I’m saying this but… I’m rooting for Swerve! No more fines!!!" he wrote.
It remains to be seen whether Max Caster and Anthony Bowens will regain the World Tag Team Championships from The Bucks on Dynamite this week and whether they will be featured at All In 2024.
