Matt Hardy thinks current AEW wrestler will become a “star” if he joins WWE 

Matt Hardy recently talked about a popular AEW star whose future remains uncertain. He mentioned how he thinks things will go if he re-signed with AEW, but claimed that he could become a star in WWE. This would be Daniel Garcia.

Garcia has currently been written off TV after a gruesome attack from MJF. Reports have mentioned that this was seemingly done as his contract status was still up in the air. Should he re-sign, he could begin a feud with Friedman, but in the case that he ends up elsewhere, this was seen as a perfect angle to write him off for good.

On a recent edition of his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the veteran talked about how AEW has hinted several times at wanting to keep Daniel Garcia with the company, even building up on a future feud between him and MJF.

“I think Daniel Garcia is a great dude and a great performer. They did the big angle with MJF, and it seems like they were kind of, you know, kind of putting the bait out there. 'Look, we want you around here. We want to build around you, so we’re gonna give you this, and you re-sign, and then we’re going to full-fledged go in and do this angle with you and MJF and, and build you into a top guy.' I mean, it almost sounds like kind of how they teased me with Randy Orton at the end of RAW, right? And then he murdered me. And if I come back, then I get to do something else with him and avenge or then 'bye-bye Matt,' you know, it is what it is like, it feels like they kind of gave him that opportunity in some ways."

Matt Hardy continued by looking at Garcia's current options and mentioning that each would be great as in AEW, the seeds have been sowed for his next feud, while in WWE they could make him a star.

"So I think DG is so young. Whatever decision he makes, if he stays at AEW, he’s going to be good. I think he’s gonna get an opportunity, and he is going to get the opportunity to do this thing with MJF, whatever it may be. I think if he goes to WWE, he’s going to be good. He’s gonna become a star. You just never know. It is hard to tell. I think he’s just so young." [H/T - EWrestlingNews]

Matt Hardy says Daniel Garcia should urge Tony Khan to give him his full booking plans before re-signing

During the same podcast, Matt Hardy talked about one thing he would do if he were in the shoes of Daniel Garcia. This would be asking for his booking plans.

Now that he was in the middle of deciding on his future, Matt Hardy believed that it was best to ask for the specific plans laid out for him in the next few years as this would help give him an idea of how things were to go if he re-signs.

"I think if I was Daniel Garcia right now, I would want a full-fledged plan laid out by Tony Khan, MJF, or whoever else. What [do] they plan to do with him? How [do] they plan to elevate him? And what [do] they plan to do with him for the next year, two years, whatever it may be, and I would want to know that," Hardy said. [H/T - EWrestlingNews]
