AEW has just announced that one of the members of its roster is set to miss Dynamite's 5th-anniversary show tonight due to sudden unforeseen circumstances. This would be Taz.

The ECW legend is usually in attendance for Dynamite as he is a member of the commentary desk. However, it was reported that he was attacked while in the parking lot before tonight's show.

On X/Twitter, the promotion released a statement on this. Taz is said to be receiving medical treatment but won't be able to work the commentary desk tonight. Nigel McGuinness is said to be at tonight's show in Pittsburgh as his temporary replacement.

"This afternoon @OfficialTAZ was attacked in the parking lot and cannot announce Tonight’s #AEWDynamite 5th Anniversary. Taz is being treated by doctors, @McGuinnessNigel is en route to Pittsburgh & will call tonight’s episode. Don’t miss Dynamite’s 5th TONIGHT at 8/7c on TBS!"

Taz broke his silence on the situation, saying that he was returning home to New York to see doctors. He mentioned that he had sustained a significant leg injury.

"Was at the hospital there, heading back to NY now, I need to see my doctors asap. These guys got me good at the arena, destroyed my leg," the veteran wrote.

It remains to be seen whether more information regarding this attack will be revealed later on AEW Dynamite
